Barth Building

Built in 1898 by A. H. Barth, this building was the town's first two story brick commercial building. It is the only commercial building with its original cast iron front remaining. The first floor was a grocery and hardware store, then just grocery u p until 1948. The second floor was used as a residence and large community hall.

Barth (1848-1921) was instrumental in getting telephone service to Arvada and also active in the development of the electric and water systems. He served on the Town Board and was Mayor in 1906. 19th Century Commercial with moderate alterations.
