Arva-Pride Flour Mill

5590 Wadsworth Blvd - Built in 1926 by Eugene Benjamin on land that he leased from the Colorado & Southern Railroad for $48 a year. The workers used only hand tools to dig the basement and built the mill. He called his building "ironclad." The metal is an alloy of steel and tin with a pressed brick pattern. Many local farmers made their living by growing grain and selling it to Benjamin. Tours are given by appointment. Contact the Arvada Historical Society at 303-431-1261. Early 20th Century Industrial.
